The KIMLI Organizing Committee is paying close attention to the latest information on some airport closing in Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, and Semarang as safety precautions due to Mt. Kelud eruption.
We strongly recommend our KIMLI participants who are coming to Lampung from the eastern part of Indonesia that may be scheduled to depart and/or transit in any one of the airports to please contact your airline carriers to check the status of your flight reservation.
The Raden Intan Airport, Tanjung Karang, Lampung is open. There should be no problem for participants coming from the western part of Indonesia, or within Sumatra, or other areas that are not obviously affected by the eruption.
We certainly hope that the closed airports will be open soon, so you don’t have to worry about rerouting your trip.
All KIMLI Organizing Committee wishes you a safe trip to Lampung and look forward to seeing you safe and sound at KIMLI 2014.
